TE NOHONGA

Come & stay with us Marae style in the Pāpāmoa Hills

Welcome to our place, Horaparaikete Airbnb accommodation, affectionately called The Whare. The Whare is based on Marae style living with open-plan shared sleeping for up to 25 people and dining space for around 80, perfect for the extended Whanau, small groups and gatherings for special occasions. We are popular with school groups, sports teams, Whanau and Trusts, waananga or learning events.

The Whare is north and east facing, soaks up all day sun and is nestled at the base of the Papamoa Hills Cultural Heritage Regional Park.

This is a stay that feels safe, grounding, calm and connected.

With accessible entrances on all sides, The Whare has wonderful indoor and outdoor flow to spacious groomed grounds opening to sweeping north and east facing vistas looking up to ancient Maori Pa sites and open farmland.

Built in 2009, the amenities are modern and well cared for. The Whanau Fruit orchard provides sweet fruit all year round and you are free to mindfully partake of whatever is in season.

The Whare blends simple down to earth living enhanced by Maori culture and the natural beauty of the land.
